Go White

Occassionally I've been accussed by those unfamiliar with UNH hockey as a "super fan." This is, however, pretty far off. I'm a big fan, I support and follow them regularly. But I'm not what I would consider a "super fan." To me, that term is reserved for the first few rows of the student section. A section I have a serious love/hate relationship.

I went to the UNH/New Brunswick game this past weekend while I was in Durham for homecoming. I appreciate that these fans go to every game, start cheers, support the team. I do not appreciate them rudely yelling at the fans behind them. There's an elitedness about them that just gets under my skin. They could do a WAY better job including the rest of the student section --- as opposed to yelling about what fellow supporters can and can't do in "my" section. it's not your section - it's OUR section. I'm not sure what it is that makes them think they are that much better than other fans, but they have that unfortunate air about them.

At any rate, JvR is one sick hockey player. And it was really fun to see him in action.
